Catering FAQs


Is there a minimum quantity that must be ordered?
For in-store pick up there is no minimum. There is a minimum order amount of $150 for deliveries.


How far in advance do I need to place a catering order?
The sooner the better! We ask for 24-hour advanced notice on the catering order and will do our best to accommodate it based on availability.


During what hours do you accept catering orders?
Our catering department is available to respond to emails Monday-Saturday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. If you don’t hear from them within 24 hours, you can call the restaurant at 512.420.2222 and ask to speak with someone in catering.


Do you deliver?
Yes! We can deliver any catering orders that are $150 or more. We will deliver and set up the food. We require at least 24–48 hour notice. Delivery is based on availability.


Do you charge for delivery?
Yes, delivery charge is 10% of your subtotal, up to $75. There is an additional fee for out-of-area delivery orders.


Do you require a deposit?
At this time, we do not require a deposit.


Is a tip included in the delivery fee?
No. The tip for the delivery driver can be added when you sign the receipt and is up to your discretion.


Can I order from the store directly?
We prefer all catering orders be handled by the catering department. Please email catering@eldoradocafeatx.com or complete the form above.


How do I pick up my catering order?
You can come into the restaurant and let the team know you are picking up a catering order and someone will pack up your food for you. If you prefer, you can pull into one of the numbered spaces in our parking lot. Follow the instructions on the sign in front of your space and be sure to include ‘catering’ in your text. Our staff will bring your food out to your car.


What if I need to change my order?
Changes to your order can be made with the Catering Team until 2:00 pm the day before your order. On the day of your order, we might be able to handle small changes, but it depends on the order.


How do I re-order a past catering order?
Just email us at catering@eldoradocafeatx.com and we can look up our old orders.


Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?
We try to accommodate all dietary restrictions. We have many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Please mention if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate.


Do you provide chafing dishes or warming equipment?
We have disposable chafers available for $15 per set up. Chafers are included on staffed events.


What is the largest group you can cater?
We regularly cater groups of 100 to 200 people and have successfully catered for a party of 350 guests.


Do you cater weddings?
Yes! We regularly cater weddings.


How do I handle payment?
We accept all major credit cards. Your credit card will not be charged until the day of the delivery.


How do I get a copy of the receipt?
A receipt will be given to you when you pick up the order in-store or sent with the order if it is a delivery. You can also email catering@eldoradocafeatx.com to request a copy if yours has been misplaced.


What is your cancellation policy?
Orders cancelled day of are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.


Do you offer staffing?
Yes! Catering service is food-focused and designed to ensure a smooth, well-managed buffet experience. We arrive approximately one hour before your scheduled service time to set up using our own tables, oil cloths, warming chafers, platters and serving ware. We provide one staff member for every 40 guests. Our staff will maintain the buffet, replenish and monitor food as needed, and assist guests by answering questions about the menu. When time allows, they will also provide light bussing around the buffet area. Once the food has been fully served or the buffet has been open for two hours, whichever comes first, our team will break down the setup, clean the buffet area, and depart. Please note that our staff does not remain for full-venue or event-wide cleanup.


Do you offer tastings?
We are unable to offer in-restaurant tasting for catering orders. You are welcome to come and try the food in the restaurant.
